Throughout our 15+ years of touring the world, we consider the Deer Head Inn our musical “home.” Recording our latest cd there has infused the music with a warmth, love and passion that cannot be duplicated anywhere else. There is nothing comparable to recording “live” in front of the sophisticated and enthusiastic DHI audience. When you couple that with the fact that the DHI is one of the country’s most prestigious and well-established jazz clubs, the energy and inspiration explodes off the charts! My incredible band mates and I have selected songs and created arrangements that highlight our powerful and unique quintet sound as well as our individual and distinct voices. I’m continuously grateful to make music with the gifted, creative and talented Janelle, Jami, Tomoko and Noriko. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bill Goodwin for his brilliant guidance, Jim McGee for his super-hero “ears” and Denny and Mary Carrig from the Deer Head Inn for giving jazz such a wonderful home.
